This is interesting and makes me wonder if there
was any pattern in the sleeping arrangements of these children?? i.e.
co-sleeping, separate bedrooms etcthis seems to be often overlooked as a
variable in such studies.

Dear Jen,
A few late thoughts and
Here is news of the maternity stats from the UK
published today. I got them from my NCT list from Miranda Dodwell who runs
the BirthChoice web site.
While it may be a statistical blip, it is
heartening to see that the Caesarean rate hasen't risen, and I would like to
think that it is due
I got this one Jan.

Is it any wonder that all these children are
havng such a dreadful time sleeping - when we live in a world a "good"
baby is one who sleeps all night... and tucked far away in her own bed, in
another room.. (like it or not)... AND if she doesn't do that... make
her scream and sob
As a co-sleeping mumwho has just joined this

Not sure if I'm wandering a little too far off the
path - but I thought I'd post this question I've been pondering of

Whilst many of us agree on the benefits of
What I'm wondering is this.is this fatigue in direct response to their
co-sleeping r'ship with their child?
Tough one. All my kids have been poor sleepers from the outset and regular
night-wakers. My first was in a cot in a neighbouring room - I truly was a
walking zombie then. My

midwife.
However, I also believe that sleep requirements
(like many other aspects of midiwfery care) are highly individual. Some people
do very well on 3-4 hrs of

I have to say I like this and sadly miss it from my car. I bought mine from the ANF Midwives Action Group when it was in existence.
You will not make everyone happy, all the group or the public who see it on your car, but even if someone sees the sticker and takes offence because say they didn't
Hear! Hear! Marilyn. I would also like to add that
an article showing so many sleep problems in older children is almost "proof"
that the very prevalentsleep school training in infancy does not "teach"

Pinky - I can totally relate to that "green" light
experience :)
You know you are seriously tired when you find the
milk in the pantry and your keys in the fridge etc .
However I must say that my fatigue cannot be blamed
on my co-sleeping bubba - but rather the unsightly number of
