Dear Tania - Andrea mentioned on the list that Selangor had a 100% VBAC rate for the last year - it is for the past 6 months, but the previous 6 months it was 85%. I know it is difficult to fond support for VBAC - not just in QLD either - this was an issue highlighted all around the country

Hello All - a paediatrician I worked with told me in 1986 aboout the effects of Pethidine noticably narcotising the newborn up to 5 days of age and basically making breastfeeding very difficult. This was the time when most women got peth and droperidol too - what a cocktail, - regards, Lynne -
