Lactation Resource Centre Open Night

Guest speaker Professor Colin Binns

Professor Binns is the Professor of Public Health, Curtin University of Technology and author of the Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents in Australia incorporating The Infant Feeding Guidelines for Health Workers. These guidelines are produced by the National Health and Medical Research Council and were revised in 2003 to update the recommendation to breastfeed exclusively for 6 months.

 

The Mothers Direct shop and the Lactation Resource Centre will be open from 6pm. Professor Binns will be speaking at 7.30pm when he will be presenting the latest research on initiation and duration of breastfeeding, as well as answering any questions about his research. 

 

Light refreshments will be served.

Health professionals, ABA breastfeeding counsellors, community educators, and interested members are welcome.

The talk is being held upstairs and there is no disabled or pram access
