Hi Ken, You can do this quite easily by adding a calculated column (or two) to the content type and adding HTML. There are some very nifty tutorials about this here - http://pathtosharepoint.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/using-calculated-columns-to-write-html/
I've used this (and other techniques) to create a mini calendar view with event detail pop-up info.
