Thanks for the explanations.
I will change the pull request as supposed.

Personally I use pacemaker/corosync.
There is no need any more to run pacemaker as non-root with the newest version
of pacemaker.
The main problems with pacemaker are the changes in the last months especially

Hi Vincenzo
Add hacluster to the sudoers file with
# visudo
And add
haclusterALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL
at the very end.
And of course use
# sudo ifconfig…

During the last days I compiled the current trunk of pacemaker with gcc 4.4 in
OpenIndiana.
I checked the binaries with the current trunk of corosync and libqb.
The change is compatible with Solaris and Illumos based OS like OpenIndiana,
SmartOS, Nexenta, OmniOS.

Hi all
I compiled the newest version of the complete Corosync/Pacemaker suite with
OpenIndiana 151a7.
Tests with libq run without error.
All went well except a little problem with Pacemaker.
I prepared two patches. They are waiting in this pull request
With solaris/openindiana you should use this setting
export PCMK_ipc_type=socket

I checked the source code and found that the current version uses a mixture of
fixed pathes for the binaries and calls without paths.
E.g. cibadmin or /usr/sbin/crm_mon.
Do you have plans to support installations where the software is installed in
/opt/ha?
This is the case when the option

I am currently investigating the monitoring of corosync/pacemaker with snmp.
crm_mon used with the OCF resource ClusterMon works as it should.
But corosync-notifyd can't be used in our case.

When pacemaker 1.1.8 is compiled with gcc 4.5.2 and ncurses 5.7 2 problems
occur:
- ncurses is errounesly detected as version 5.4

Pacemaker send the logging to both destinations and uses different formats. The
messages sent to syslog are other messages than sent to the file.

Hmm, I ran the same commands with 4.7 and it works fine here.
Is 4.7 available for solaris? It would be useful to know if it was a version
issue or an platform one.
