Hi,
I did not trigger file system corruptions again. So, at this moment it
looks like it is important to:
- turn caching off
- use native aio
- *and* use an up-to-date machine type
Failure to meet any of these criteria would result in fs corruption.
Does this make sense at all?
Later part is
Hi,
I am getting closer... Some updates for those who are interested.
Did you turn caching off for your VMs disks?
That's a point. Indeed caching was not explicitely turned off and I just
noticed that the default setting of the cache attribute of the device
tag in libvirt has changed. [1]

Thank you for replying, Vladislav!
I think the problem should be unrelated to iSCSI, you have correct setup
(of course I did not thoroughly look through all info, but idea is
perfectly correct).
Thank you for confirming.

That's a point. Indeed
echo "0" > /sys/class/net/virbr0/bridge/multicast_snooping
That results in multicast packets are broadcasted to all bridge ports. I
prefer to have igmp querier turned on on a central switch.
I had the impression that the OP used virtual machines on a local

Hi Doug,
I have some 2-node active-passive clusters that occasionally lose
Corosync connectivity. The connectivity is fixed with a reboot.
They don't have shared storage so stonith doesn't have to happen for
another node to take control of the resource. Also they are VMs so I
can't use a stand
Hi All,
it asked this on linux-ha but had no luck. Is anybody here who has some
hints for me or could tell me if it is possible (and sensible) to live
migrate a virtual machine if the disk image is provided by a multipath
device?
I am not sure if my approach is flawed or if I am using the wr
Hi Colin,
Newbie here. I am trying to create a two-node cluster with the following:
Ubuntu Server 11.10
Pacemaker 1.1.5
Corosync Cluster Engine 1.3.0
CMAN
I am unable to start Pacemaker. CMAN seems to run with Corosync fine. I
see this line : write(1, "[FAILED]\r", 9) = 9. Is this a permis
Hi Matthew,
thank you for sharing your experience!
Indeed, I encountered some of the obstacles you mentioned. I considered
switching to another distro, but would prefer to stay with what I use
regulary in most of our VMs and my desktop.
FYI, I am interested in building a small cluster consis

Dear all,
Is it possible with ordering constraints to distinguish stopping a
resource from migrating it to another node?
I think it is not possible since the resource manager would need to know
the "migration downtime" in advance but anyways I will give it a try:
Given two resources A and B
Hi Osman,
We think that the third node will be in standby, so only corosync and pacemaker
processes will execute and no resource will be executed on this node by the
cluster.
I may be wrong here but from my understanding and according to [1] it is
sufficient to run corosync only on an only-
Thank you Jacek,
you are confirming my assumption. I will see if disabling the rule
breaks anything else...

Dear all,
on my test setup (iSCSI on top of LVM on top of DRBD) I was not able to
reliable migrate the volume group from one node to the other.
I have two logical volumes that are mapped to two different LUNs on one
iSCSI Target. During migration of the resource group (LVM + iSCSI) the
