You want to make sure to update to: https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/commit/356481ca811510df1fa75647317f79e937666103 (use pf-maint.pl to update your install with this patch) We were having serious problems with winbind / AD membership. These are fixed in that update, which is NOT in 5.
