Why VLC placed in Essentials Packman project but not Multimedia? It is a
fully multimedia application.

Hallo ich möchte aus meinem Laptop Opensuse 12.1 KDE einen Hotspot
machen. ich möchte das W-Lan was ich über meine Externe USB - Antenne
empfange über meine Interne als HotSpot für Tel. , Tablet und PS3
zugänglich machen. Wie kann ich das einrichten ich hab im Netz bisher
noch nix brauchbares g

I think because it is a dependency of other packages. It is the same
reason gstreamer is in Essentials.

It looks like packman and openSUSE both have a version of
google-perftools/gperftools. However, the openSUSE version is more
up-to-date, with the most recent release (2.0) versus a version from
2011 on packman.

AFAICT, google-perftools is only needed
