Suppose one were to sell 100 copies of an app to a large company. They want to activate those 100 codes over time as they give them out to their employees. Back at home base, I try to generate a 100 codes to unlock the app. Up to this point I would have received the HotSyncID of each user first,

It really depends on how your app is used. If your customers are inclined to pool their data onto one PC or server, they must maintain unique hotsync names anyway. If its 100 copies for 100 users on 100 PCs (or Macs), it becomes nearly impossible without uniquely identifying each hand held. On t
