PalmSource estimates that about 80% of application will work with no
changes on Palm OS 5. Many apps will need small tweaks to remove direct
structure access, but its not going to be hard to get

That's not the real question. Many, if not most, apps that were
written for 3.x will run under OS 5. Palm has stated, "Applications
that comply with the Palm

I don't think Palm would be so stupid as to make their new OS
completely incompatible with their previous userbase. Some applications will
have to change, some many not. No hacks, no tra
