[Paraview] limiting streamlines in paraview

2009-06-03 Thread Luc Bordier
Hello, Is it possible to compute limiting streamlines in paraview (for exemple on a vessel hull) ? Thanks to anyone who have the answer. -- _ Luc Bordier R&D Engineer luc.bord...@sirehna.com http://www.sirehna.com SIREHNA 1, rue de la Noe BP 42105 44321 NANTES CEDEX 3

Hi Berk, I read a lot of paraview emails during the weekend 24-25/05 and also next Monday. I understand than you had been working hard on python script. I have downloaded last cvs version (3.7) and compile. All problems had been fixed. Now I can read a file VTK with python. Thank you very much. R

You are looking at the slice in what's called a "2D View". Split the current view (or close the current view) and create a new "3D View". Show your data in this view and you should be able to do volume rendering. ParaView creates 2D view b default for 2D image datasets. Utkarsh On Tue, Jun 2, 200

I am not sure I understand. You are interested in surface constrained streamlines? I am guessing from an inviscid simulation? -berk On Wed, Jun 3, 2009 at 4:50 AM, Luc Bordier wrote: > Hello, > > Is it possible to compute limiting streamlines in paraview (for exemple on a > vessel hull) ? > > Th

[Paraview] Parallel readers

2009-06-03 Thread A. Vidjinnagni
ParaViewers, I have a reader wich have a panel selection in paraview to load properties arrays by using a list of checkbox in the GUI. Sometimes when many properties are checked, paraview crash with memory size problem. I don't know if i need to run ParaView run in parallel in many nodes or partiti

At least I am interested in this. In general streamlines are better in 3.7dev, stream tracer has obviously improved. However generating constrained streamlines with emitters on one part of a multi-block dataset streamlines often terminate at the border to another part - reason for termination ist "
