It seems that the latest updates to Mesa in Fedora 12 have fixed this
problem (Mesa is now updated to 7.7 and Paraview to 3.6.2 in F12).

I'm using Paraview 3.6.1 on Fedora 12, and came across the problem
referenced in a previous message to this list
