[Paraview] Difference between vector and vector_components

Hi. I'm now using ParaView v3.12.0 on Mac OS X 10.7.3. Input model is solved by Finite Volume Method (CFD) solver. When we visualize flow vector, we can use Glyph command. There are some options in "Scale Mode". But I don't understand the meaning of "vector" and "vector_components". If I choose

Hello. I think that the right scale mode for arrow glyph should be "vector": in this mode, the glyph (the arrow) would be scaled according to the vector magnitude while it remains aligned with the vector. I am not sure but I think that the scale mode "vector components" means that each compo

vector_components uses 1 component of the vector to scale. Currently it only uses 0th component (i.e. X component). I believe the panel is missing a widget to pick other components. Utkarsh On Mon, Mar 5, 2012 at 6:47 AM, Richard GRENON wrote: > Hello. > > I think that the right scale mode for a

To Richard & Urkarsh Thank you for your information. I'm using other visualization tools (EnSight etc.) and those 'Vector Components' option may have additional [X, Y, Z] selector. So I wondered why Paraview's vector_components option doesn't have such an additional selector. I expect to be add
