[Paraview] bug in ParaView 3.6.1: no tube-filter in menu

2009-07-02 Thread Jens
Hi, I compiled ParaView 3.6.1 (using tag 'ParaView3_6') and cannot find the tube-filter in Menu->Filter->Alphabetic. If I compile ParaView 3.7 (using tag 'ParaView3) the tube-filter is available. I hope that's only a bug in ParaView 3.6.1 Greetings Jens _

Hi Berk, yes, thanks, I was looking for "Generate Tubes" wish: I would like to see a "Search"-Funktion, which can handle keywords and (more important) which can give me a hint how to transform my data, so it will be accepted by the desired filter. Greetings Jens Berk Geveci schrieb: > It's ther

If you hit "Ctrl+Space" or "Alt+Space" a seach dialog should popup where you can seach for filters/sources using their names. So in your case, as you start typing "tube" you should see the "Generate Tubes" filter listed. Utkarsh On Thu, Jul 2, 2009 at 11:17 AM, Jens wrote: > Hi Berk, > > yes, tha

Actually, that's not a bad idea. I was always wondering how could we make this obvious. I guess the solution was just as obvious! :). Will do. Utkarsh On Fri, Jul 3, 2009 at 3:12 AM, Jens wrote: > That's great! It should apear in the menu, too. > > Utkarsh Ayachit schrieb: >> If you hit "Ctrl+Spa

Why was the name of the Tube filter changed to Generate Tubes? I don't like the new name because it is harder to find in the alphabetical list (as Jens demonstrated). I noticed this before but forgot to report it. Can we change the name back to what it was or at least to start with the name T

I think Berk changed that so that it becomes an action so that the python scripts seem nicer. I have no preference either ways. In any case, we definitely need to make the searching functionality more explicit. Utkarsh On Thu, Jul 9, 2009 at 5:51 PM, Moreland, Kenneth wrote: > Why was the name of

I agree that we should encourage the use of the searching functionality more, but I still contend that this filter's name should start with Tube (and in general all filters should start with the most identifying word). The issue is that even if we use search most of the time, it is sometimes co
