The bug was recently fixed
(http://www.paraview.org/Bug/view.php?id=7223) and will be included in
future releases.

I'm using a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and Paraview 3.6.1 and I've run into
the following problem. I typically dualscreen my Macbook with an external
monitor, and I generally keep the Pipeline Browser and Object Inspector on
the external monitor, i.e. I've taken them out of the left pane.
