Maybe they are verifying real e-mail addresses? If they get a bounce message
e-mail address = bad.

I've received those from time to time, but haven't followed up on them. The
ones I've received have been blank, with no html. I thought they might
contain a web bug, but never found any evidence of that. It's been a while
since I got one.

A mid-sized high tech client got a new CEO a few months ago. Since coming on
board, he's received a steady stream of probe email addresses from a wide
variety of throw away email address. The addresses are most often Gmail
accounts with random letters for the name and for the addr

I ended up just spending about an hour and writing it in Java.
In short, I have a URL on my system that I'm testing and I wanted the
requests to come from various sources. Best way I thought was to provide a
list of proxies and loop through them as I'm firing my request.
