Speaking of Sound forge, I just downloaded and installed SF7.0a and have a

the file menu to extract audio from a cd. This choice stil exists. However
SF appears to have forgotten where my cdrom is. I can also remember that in
the options sub-menu there use to be an option which dealt with this

In SF 7 if you press return on the extract audio from cd, then shift back a
few you should come to a dialogue box called drive. There you should find a
listing of any drives you have. Select the one you want and press return.
That should do it.

Thing is that I did that and there was no drive there. However I can burn
cd's from Nero, Alcohol, XP itself adn any other program and even make a vcd
from Nero Vision. So work that one out *grin*.
