Jim! I would be surprised if anyone could buy a DVD player today that
does not play CD's. I saw a stand alone DVD player the other day for $39.

Hi, just thought I'd add to this,
one track
susan:
when in the volume control, hit file, and hit proparties,
then choose, adjust options for playback, hit tap, you'll find the things
you want, you'll find the mike unchecked, check it,
then you'll find it in your volume control, each time you open it, before
the line in
but about the chat
Hi. I don't have xp, but in windows media player 9 you add the currently
playing track to the library from the file menu. It's saved under other
media in the library tree view. My old jfw version does not read the list
view either, I was hoping that would have been corrected with xp and a later
Does anyone know of a program that will let me split a 5 meg mp3 file into
chunks for easier mailing? I tried splitting it with RecAll Pro but the
chunks must be too large to fit into the clipboard. Thanks for any program
suggestions.

Well, I may be able to split it with Recall Pro, but I would rather find a
program that would make it easier.

This question is on behalf of a friend in Brazil I
recommended saypad to. Now he would like to know how
to add other voices. Believe it or not, I don't have
an MP3 player here separate from my computer, so I
have no real use for text to mp3, so can't really help
him, but he asked me if I knew of
Hi Andrea,
Why do you need software for extracting mp3 files?
I simply copy paste them from the cd into my folder.
Thanks,

Hello,
I record a fair amount of audio from various sources, and the volume levels
vary widely. Is there any kind of a windows utility for something akin to
an automatic gain control? In lieu of that, is such a feature built into
any sound editor of which you are aware? Thanks for ideas.

I think what the guy wanted was to split an already made mp3 in to smaller
chunks.
Cheers

Hi
Hi Donald,
Have you tried mp3 gain from
http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/
It can make all mp3s have the same volume so that you don't have to adjust
your speakers everytime a new song comes on.

Hi,
Try File Splitter Deluxe.
I found it very useful. You can download the shareware version from:
http://www.nettrials.com/file-splitter-deluxe/split.exe
This is the direct link.

can you do line in recording with your headphone jack from your stereo and your line
in jack on your sound card?
I have a soundblaster audigy and need to know what i would need to do to do this or
if this is the right way to go about doing this this way do i need a mixer or
something to make
If you use the headphone jack as output, the chances of getting a good
clean signal are minimal. It just never quite works, I think it has
something to do with the waythe sound is amplified before hitting the
headphone jack. Best to use your stereo's line out if you have one.

MP3 files by selecting the folder , firstly what setting do I need to
apply in terms of percentage? Secondly in the future if I say have
another 50 MP3 files that I have downloaded do I just need to apply MP3
gain to the new
