I would like to be able to record online shows that I won't be able to hear
at the time of broadcast. Is there a Jaws-accessible program that will
record the program onto a hard drive for later listening? I want one that
will also have an accessible timer I can start in case I can't be right
For shoutcasting recording I use Mediarecorder which does have a timer and
a shceduler for later recording. If you want to record from windows media
or real I can't offer suggestions but mediarecorder is a freeware program
and it works terrific for recording shoutcast streams.

gold wave will do this.

Hi Jim,
Sagebrush, at www.sagebrush.com, makes a program called recall pro
that is pretty good. I used that for a long time before changing over to
total recorder pro. I found that it wasn't quite as finicky to set up,
though now I have no problems with trp.

Hi all
I got a xen mp3 player for my birthday. AIt seems to be a recorder also with
an FM radio. Has anyone ever worked with xen mp3 players and how accessible
are they?
I have never heard of this make before.

Hi,
I record shows from the net with total recorder pro and I'm using
v5.1 as well. I use the sound board and not software to record from the
web, but I put my creative audigy to recording what you hear. If you use
software speech, this too will be recorded, as well as windows sounds,
do a google for mp3directcut and you will find several places to download it
from. I have had problems trying to download from the main site so an
alternate will be better.

I am a big fan of Total Recorder from www.highcriteria.com for recording
Internet streams. It is designed for this purpose, so has a much more
sophisticated scheduler than Goldwave. Also, I can record streams while
using software speech and the speech is not recorded.

Hi, Joanne, total recorder is very good, though I've not used their
scheduler, but you can go to
http://www.highcriteria.com
to learn more. There is a standard version which is $13, and a
professional version which is $40. With the current version, 5.1, you
can record if the program isn't
MP3DirectCut will record direct to mp3 and is free.

Hi there, I am attempting to confirm a suspicion with the Ipod Shuffle, and
that is that music must indeed be transfered from the PC using the Itunes
software. I could not get it to work using Windows Explorer, although it
makes a fine jump drive when using this method to transfer files.
I
Hi,
Anapod enables you to use a tree-view that looks like windows explorer. I
don't know about its support for the ipod shuffle (except that someone on
this list said as much recently). You may want to check out
http://www.redchairsoftware.com/
to be sure.

As far as i know, any ipod will not work with windows explorer for
transfering music and after listening it, because ipod makes special
database where the tracks are stored that its possible to listen to them.
However i also found that anapod explorer will be updated for ipod shuffle
support. I
I want to suggest replay-radio as another option for recording streams. It
records other things, but its primary function is to allow for the
scheduling and recording of streams from the internet and in addition to
adding something new or recording something one stumbles across on the net,
You can download it from www.mpesch3.de. I hope this helps.

hi listers does any one on this list use the latest version of en track
studio?
I tried to use it but when I hit the alt key so that I could read the
menus it did not say any thing. can any one help me out. or do I have to
get an older version of this program?
I am using windows XP with jfw 4.2.
Thanks for the information regarding Vpod, I tried it, but had no luck as
the Shuffle was not recognized within the program as an Ipod.
But Thanks for the suggestion.
