Hi Dana, Well, moving the Windows event sounds probably isn't going to happen, and as far as Real player goes, that's one of the reasons I don't use it. There are just too many accessible audio programs out there that are free, and are much more flexible than Real player. Good luck, R Q J -

Power dvd works fine with jaws and I have played more than 100 movies with it with no problem. I don't know what you mean about decryption there. I decrypt all the dvds that I get from any source and play them with no problem with power dvd or windows media player. Regards. Nektarios.

winamp not keeping soundcard settings

I like VLC Media Player from http://www.videolan.org. It's free and uses existing codecs from your system to play DVD's. One neat feature is found under the audio menu. It is a channel option. For example, if I put in the DVD Ray, I have four channels. Channel 1 is the movie with no DVS.

Ah, it's when I hit play, it keeps repeating the theme of the movie over and over. I guess dvd's have their own menu system you need to choose play off of. When I hit play off the apps menu option, it usually repeats the theme, or does nothing. Using media player instead does about the same. If
