vior analog signals. A digital radio would pick up stations vior digital
transmission. You would get all the channels which are broadcasted on
satellite and cable. here. The sound is crystal clear with no interference.

Yes you can do that with an existing wave file.
But what I'm trying to do is, record a full length song from the line in of
my sound card.
But when I do this with Sound Recorder, it only records for 60 seconds.
How do I change this?

Yes sure you can. Making sure line in is checked under recording and
with your cassette connected to the pc via audio cable and adjusting
the desired recording volume, you can hit ctrl r to start recording.

I think if it can be heard by the sound card, you can record it. but
please, sound recorder? that's like using a cheesey $20 recorder when
you could use something like Goldwave, or Audacity and get results
that are a thousand percent nicer!

simply load in sound recorder a wav file of approximately the same
length of your proposed recording.
making sure you are at the beginning of the audio file, simply record your new
wav file on top of it

I would like to know, how do you extend the recording time in Sound Recorder?
I am asking because, I heard that Vista will let you record full length songs
from a cassette tape.
But in Windows XP, Sound recorder only records in increments of 60 seconds.
