It's not an amplifier but a plug-in that is required for the playing of
GameDay Audio.
Despite some folks making a big deal about this plug-in, it has worked
seamlessly for me and most users.
There are apparently ways to work around it if one is having problems, but
give it a try first before

could it possibly be an active X control that needs activation before? If so,
when you click on the site, alt-n to open the control to activate and arrow
down and choose allow active x.
