Hi chris, if it happens again that your voice comes only from the right
channel do so. Go in the edit menu and find the channel submenu; select
the right channel and copy the track after having selected it. Now
select the left channel in the same way and do a ctrl+r for replacing

Dave,
go to winamp prefferences.
start at the top of the tree with the home key.
arrow down to file types.
tab through the options and select the all button
Now go back to the tree view, and arrow down to video.
Tab through these options and make selections as appropriate.
See if that
Many thanks for this, I didn't know what these channel functions do. So
that's interesting, and I hope the file is truly stereo now after
following the directions. I'm uploading the new copy, so hopefully I
will have a link soon.

What other accessible portable players are there available today that

I'm running Winamp 5.572, and I do see AVI as a supported file type. It's
listed in the Winamp preferences in the file types list. When I click on an
AVI file in Windows Explorer, Winamp is the media player that comes up and
plays it. Did you install the lite or standard version of Winamp? I don't
Hello list: My experience with WMP is that I can't move backwards (used to
be able to move forward in a file or track)..but don't believe that even
works anymore..unless I use that slide thing you were talking about.

High Chris,
That's one reason why I don't use WMP.
Winamp has that media player beat in that aspect and respect.
I use to use WMP for ripping and burning CD's.
But some how, something in WMP got broken because it won't rip or burn CD's
anymore.
I use Winamp for the burning of CD's, but I'd like
Wow, I just brought up WMP 11 for the first time in a while, and I can't
play anything with it! I tried a few MP3 files, it said it was playing, but
I didn't hear a thing! I'll have to hit Google or Bing to see how to repair
this. Even though I hardly ever use WMP, I would like to have a working
Sorry John, but I can't help you. I know you can rip CD's with Winamp, but
I've never done it myself. I know the Pro version gives you higher ripping
speeds. I still use WMP for that. I used to use CDEX before I started
leaning on WMP for ripping my CD's. Maybe others on this list can help you

WMP may be muted, I think f8 mutes and unmutes but it might be f7 or f9. I
have another version. Keep tabbing till you hear the mute and volume
controls. They are independent of the Windows mixer.
Also check tools, options, devices tab, speakers, properties,; to set output
