Hi! There has to be a better solution than keep an old machine around. Even a cheap USB sound card might be better than that. Also updating drivers is very important. I had this same problem a while back with my windows 7 esktop. I do not have a dedicated separate sound card just the one that is

Hi. It sounds like this is a windows folder options as opposed to goldwave itself. When you go to a folder of files with this problem, and before u use any arrow keys to look at the file list, hit your aplication key and a context menu will pop up. There should be a sort by or arrange icons sub

I'm not sure what OS or screen reader is being used in this case, but clicking on the header for the name column in Windows Explorer (or probably most any application) should also take care of this. I would do this with JAWS in Windows XP if I wanted a Z to A sort instead of an A to Z sort. Clickin

Jaws has a way to change sound cards. Jaws utilities sound cards sub menu. Maybe Jaws is getting confused. It does on my xp machine. When I change default cards from sounds and audio devices, Jaws gets mixed up as to which card I selected in Jaws utilities. Even when I choose a specific cad
