It would be more appropriate to discuss GW Connect on the GW
Micro e-mail list.
Thanks,

I used GW Connect for a while until the introductory announcement that
comes up when you log on and the periodic sales pitches began to wear on
me. I also was disturbed by the thought that I was automatically
connected to the GW Micro site for examination of my computer for
Window-Eyes. Since
With GWConnect, there's no easy way to return a missed call. For this
reason, I'm still using Skype 3.8 which BTW is not sluggish at all.
I've requested that they include a call back button on the missed call
announcements, but it hasn't been done as yet despite the fact that I
made this request ov
you do not.

Subject: Skype and GW Connect
Hi folks,
I'm wondering if you need to install Skype before
Chris,
I'm glad you clarified. I am the person who said GW Connect installs Skype
for you. It sounds as though I should have written that GW Connect makes it
unnecessary to install Skype unless you want a separate iteration of Skype
to run on your system.

Hi,
and with the latest version of GW Connect there is really no need for
sluggish Skype anymore.
The only thing people might be missing is the vidio support.
GW Connect has grown up to be a very versatyle replacement for Skype.
Best regards
Brian

Somebody said installing Gw Connect will install Skype for you. This is
untrue. Installing Gw Connect allows you to connect to the Skype
service, but does not install the Skype client for you. In fact, you can
use Gw Connect independent of the Skype client if you wish.
