is there a way to save the favorites and or make a play list that can be used
in other media players? meaning so you can listen to the streams in lets say
winamp?

I assume you've tabbed around in the dialog looking for a checkbox that says
"don't display this dialog in the future"?

Wel, if its a big deal to switch between formats, then you can go to
the format dialog and make the selections as you wish, then just save
them as a preset, and switch between presets.
