The ooTunes database has thousands of stations to choose from. I've found
everything I've searched for so far in there. Unfortunately, I don't
actually own one of the new Streams, but I did use a friend's for a little
while to check it out. I've also heard that you can add stations manually

I would be glad to help anyone one on one if they email me offline and I can
provide a number to contact me. Hope this offer will help someone.

Hi all,
If you're shopping for a low-cost microphone, here's one to consider:

The ATR 2100 offers two ways of connecting it, USB and XLR.

I have tried it with JAWS and found the built in keystrokes wouldn't work
but others haven't had any problems with them with JAWS.

Hi list. I'm curious as
I think that's a JAWS problem if the experience I had was anything to go by.
Try running VLC with NVDA and see if the problem goes away.

VLC works pretty well with jaws because I have scripts, but they are
not in English.

I think it works better with system access than with JAWS. It's a different
interface but it's not bad. I don't use it often so I have to figure it out
each time I do. I know at least some of the shortcut keys don't work.

Haven't tried this on this machine! But I tried VLC on the old machine; for
some reason, it would never play DVDs right!

Hi, I heard that the accessibility of VLC differs with different versions.
Ist hat true and which version would be the best to use, and, can you still

You could always use the passthrough function with jaws, insert+3. That
should work.

H,
I thought Jonathan Mozen, (forgive me if I mis-spelled his name), and
his sidekick used Sam with Shoutcast on their radio broadcast a while back.

I wouldn't worry about the spelling, you're talking about Jonathan, he's from
New Zealand, a lot of sheep out there so if in doubt just write Sheep, Lamb
Chop etc and everyone will know exactly whom you're referring to smile.
Seriously though, it very well may be that a tutorial or something
Jonathan uses Station Playlist and was involved in creating Jaws scripts for
it along with Brian Hartgen.
Brian has looked at accessability of Sam but after this discussion started I
asked him about it and he reported that it is far from accessable.
Check out Brian's site on SPL and Jaws.
I use SPL and although the feature you speak of for requests is far deeper
than I have delved, I think SPL has something simillar.

Jonathan has a new book available, you can read a review and get more
information at https://www.afb.org/afbpress/pub.asp?DocID=aw150205, I'm sure
many people may find Jonathan's new title both an invaluable resource and an
eye opener - pardon the very bad pun -.
