Its always possible of course that the remote controller for the system could
be faulty or the battery flat.
Unfortunately I don't have one of these systems - not yet at any rate - so I
can't really say all that much else.

Hi, Don. If you are using window-eyes you shouldn't have to use the
pass-through key. the correct keystroke is control puls the letter q.

But you could get a vpn (virtual private network.)
Then you're surfing anonymously and therefore can listen to bbc 5 live.

This is getting worse, these restrictions, I mean. In Germany I can't even
listen to German stations online that broadcast only partially the world
championship this year. I wonder where all this will lead to.
