Having now used this all-in-one music system for nearly two days I've made some remarkable discoveries about the radio and perhaps Sangean are listening to feedback from customers, I sincerely hope this to be the case as what I've found is truly promising for the future of Sangean products.

The first thing I noticed was from within the Undok remote controller App which controls the radio, near the top of the screen is a "Settings" icon which controls settings for the radio including sleep timer and so on.

These controls have been extended with the DDR66 to include the full adjustment of date/time settings and that's everything, selection of time zone, selection of time update source - DAB, FM, Internet or manual - and selection of Daylight saving time mode which is absolutely fantastic as I had to use sighted assistance previously every time the cycle changed, - I use Internet to update the clock -.

Changes go further than this and I noticed further significant changes when I found the radio on my network and brought up the page in my browser.

Here one can pretty much set up the network connection for the radio so let's put this into perspective.

Suppose you've just received a Sangean DDR66 for the first time? Well you'll be pretty much lost as you're going to need sighted assistance to go through the Network Wizard, well at least that's how it appears to be.

Plug in a RJ45 network cable to the radio with the other end connected to your router, locate the IP address of the radio and type it into your browser and you can go through the whole Network wizard from that page using a HTML interface, language selection, region selection for Wi-Fi, wi-fi or Wired selection, scan for Wi-Fi networks, DHCP or Manual modes, update firmware etc.

One still can't set alarms from the Undok App or even from the HTML interface though as I said earlier things look promising so perhaps this functionality will come in future firmware updates? I'm very hopeful and thanks Sangean for giving users what they're asking for.
