Actually, what I think I'll do is first convert these .wv files to .flac
files, using Easy CDDA Extractor. Then use Goldwave to chop them up into
individual tracks -- they seem to be full-CD single file recordings. Later,
I'll get around to installing the .wv plug-in for Winamp, just so I'll

The files I received all seem to be in a packer format with a .wv extension.
What program do I need to open these?

Yes, Winamp will play these files with the correct plug-in installed.
If you haven't found it yet the plug-in for Winamp can be found at
www.wavpack.com/downloads.html. Also lots of information about the
Wavpack format can be found on the Wavpack home page at www.wavpack.com.
