Kevin! I haven't actually seen an R-1. However Edirol has described
it to me and I'm sure it's accessible with its buttons and a jog wheel. At
least as accessible as the Sony MZB-1 which has been so popular with blind
users. They warned me that deleting files might be a problem but then yo
Don! It comes with the 64 MB card, no options there. They won't leave
it out of the package and lower the price and they won't substitute a bigger
one. There is no loudspeaker. The tuner and metronome is done with
oscillators or something.
Chirp|Chirp|Chirp: It's the Bat, Bat Arhonious Sof
Jerry will we be able to order the card of our choice. In other words can we
dump the 64 meg card? Have you seen the device. I am assuming if it has a
built in tuner for instruments that it must have a built in speaker?

The R-1 from Edirol is available after a fashion. The first shipment
is due in the United States in November but it's already sold out. I don't
know yet when the next shipment is due. The retail price of this unit is
$550.00 but right now I'm taking orders for $400.00, includes shipping in
Mike it looks like you can Preorder the recorder from Sound Professionals
for about $440. It is comming soon. What I don't understand is Why Charge
you for a card you don't want. Let you order the machine blank or with the
card of your choice. No one is going to use a 64 meg card.

Yes, but is it going to be accessible to us?
