Hi!

I've written about Airfoil on list before so just to summarise, Airfoil is a piece of software which allows the streaming of audio/video from the computer it is running on. This content can then be received by another computer or IOS4 device running Airfoil Speakers, an Airport Express, Apple TV and so on.

The Airfoil software for the Mac is accessible right out of the box but the same cannot be said regarding Airfoil for Windows.

I have found ways with Window-Eyes to make the software usable and I did this by reclassing the "custom controls" to "Trackbars", now when you use the "Tab" key to move about the Screen Reader will tell you where the focus is.

Suppose for example you have Airfoil Speakers running on your Iphone and you're tabbing around in Airfoil on your computer, WE will announce your Iphone by the name you've given it in Airfoil Speakers on that device, at that point just press the spacebar and transmission of the audio/video from your computer is started to your iphone.

The source menu is perfectly accessible and you know when focus is there so you can set the source of audio/video to be transmitted.

I know a lot of you use JAWS, not sure of procedures here as I don't use JAWS though I'm sure that JAWS users will be able to adapt what I've written to suit their needs.

You can download a trial of Airfoil and Airfoil Speakers from <http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/windows/>
