You may also like to check the read commands that CDEX is using for your drive, if I recall their is a detect read command somewhere in CDEX, don't ask me where that command is though as its absolute ages! since I've played with that software. Also check the mode that CDEX is using for your CD

CDEX has options for extraction that should take care of clicks at the beginning and end of tracks. They are: Start and end offset (sectors). Look under the CD drive tab of Cdex configuration. You might also want to change the spinup speed. ___ PC-Aud

Hi Sharon. This is fairly common and that scratch sound can appear at the start of a track or at the end. I think it's caused by the encoder not being able to make a completely clean cut between the track beginning or track end. I use a program called MP3TRIM to clean up my ripped tracks. It's
