machine. Win7 32-bit Home premium, service pack 1, latest updates and

Winamp seems to have support for surround sound. In Winamp 5.3 and I
don't know about older versions there is a checkbox in the playback
section of preferences where you can choose whether to allow surround
sound or not. I can't test how well this works because I don't have
surround sound on
My machine freezes every time I try to install Winamp. What's going on?

Hi, everybody.
Does Winamp version 5 insert those annoying two second silences between tracks
a la Windows Media Player?
Is there a comprehensive user manual available? The help site is raising my
blood pressure.

There's a plugin for version 5 that enables cross-fading between tracks. If
you can't locate it email me off-list and I'll send it along.
