that works.
I think maybe the users tried to download new patches released after
Jannuar for which you need extended support. Since Solaris 10 is now
extended support:

extended Support
When Extended Support is made available after the end of Premier Support
period, customers will need to purchase Extended Support if they wish to
access any new fixes/patches/security updates created during the
