and it works
but after I do this setting, .txt files are opened with pd!??
so I do right clic

yes, this is normal, since .pd file does not have a mime time, so gnome see it
as a text file.
here is what need to be done in order to make it work as expected (on ubuntu):
# add mime type to .pd files
cp mime_pd-extended.xml /usr/share/mime/packages/pd-extended.xml
Dear friends,
I have a problem with pdvst with Ableton Live, but I think this problem
egsist also with other DAWs.
When I set up some parameters in my plugin created with pdvst, after
Ctrl-S saving all parameters lost their settings and jump to initial
values.
Have you also the same problem ,

I tried that using Pd version 0.40.3-extended-20080310 on WinXP and it also
crashes pd.
I think that the usual practice is to make a canvas inside the subpatch and
set that to graph on parent. Not sure what you're trying to do...

Thanks all for the recommendations.
I have actually used an FA101 before, it lived in my old research lab. I
had never used it under linux, only OSX.
It seems two mic inputs is the norm.
Being new to audio stuff, what is the difference between the XLR and 1/4
jack inputs? I know the mic inputs
Hello,
i think it is possible with GEM and [pix_crop] (to create different
area of you video) and [pix_movement] (to detect movement in this area).
You can also use pdp and [pdp_mgrid].

There's [pdp_mgrid], which will divide the camera's field into a grid
and then give you coordinates of changes in the image. You could then
tie that to a [poly] object to generate a bunch of notes tones. I've
played around with this a little. It helps to have a good camera.

Hi Ben, list,
I have an Edirol FA-101, which I like, and a M-Audio Firewire 410, which
I don't like. You are on linux, so the M-Audio Firewire 410 won't work
for you anyway. I use the FA-101 on OSX, but it's linux support was one
reason I chose it, though I haven't tested it under linux.
Yeah, it turns out that Poly isn't really working as a host anymore
and I haven't had any time to finish fixing it. If someone can host
it, I can help them get it all setup. Ideally it would be a Debian
box. Currently its on a Mac OS X box, and as we all can see, that
hasn't turned
This is a minor update; if you're using OSC with [polygrainsynth] (or
ever plan to), you should pick it up. Some parts of the OSC tree were
incomplete in the initial release of [polygrainsynth]. This has been
rectified in version 0.2.
