I've been using the [curve] object from the mapping lib on Extended,
but I wanted to know if there was a way to do the same thing with
[expr] on Vanilla? Basically it's a way to change the transfer
function with a variable to the second inlet.
thx!

hello,
like most of the mapping lib, the mapping/curve object is an abstraction, using
only native object.
so it works on vanilia since it's based on pow and other simple object.

Hi Palmieri,
Sadly I don't have a linux version of Adrian's [dmxsend] object. He made it
specifically for a Windows based theatre work I was doing. [dmxsend] is also
designed to work with the Enttec DMX USB Pro, not the Enttec Open DMX. The two
devices work quite differently.
Seems to work fi

should i go for fann 2.1 which is the late
Ooops!
I'm so stupid! Of course it can't work if I misspell it!
Thanks for the hint!

I just set up an apt repository to make it easy to install and
upgrade pd-extended. You can add it to /etc/apt/sources.list or
using Synaptic. Instructions are here:

This includes old releases, like for Debian/sarge, Ubuntu/edgy, etc.
Enjoy!

That said, if you install the mapping lib by copying the whole folder
of abstractions (i.e. putting all the files in extra/mapping) then
the namespace prefixes will work on Pd-vanilla too.
Some of the mapping objects use some abstractions from the 'purepd'
library, which you should also ins
