I tried for some time now with the result that I'm looking for a way

Hey Vincent,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried dmx512 as you suggested but the dmx4linux patched drivers did
not compile.
I get this:

patching file configure
patching file drivers/devices/dgm/Makefile

Hello list,
I was wondering if there are any possibilities to run pd in quiet mode?
By quiet, I mean there are no output at all in the pd console (or in the
terminal with -stderr).
It would be very useful to save CPU power when errors are known and
often printed.
Any hints appreciated,

I just had a thought: it would be cool if the DIO error button in the

images as an indicator. Anyone want to try designing a indicator
light with on and off states for this? Then I can include it in pd-

Hi Geoff
What operating system and mail client do you use?
Pd files are text files anyway. They can simply be attched to
an email as a something.pd file. When you see that attachment in
a message just save as something.pd. You can then load it
from the file-load menu of Pd GUI.
It's not

Thanks for confirming the procedure made me realise
that it was because I was saving it as a textfile in textedit then
changing extension to .pd textedit was somehow messing up the file.
When I used word saved as textfile then change ext to .pd
it worked fine.

Hi IOhannes,
These objects that I cant create come from patches within the

It's the only example documentation that I can find for how to use the
complex iem_bin_ambi and iem_ambi objects. The individual object

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can help me with something that I am sure is
obvious to those in the know.
The IEM object [ambi_decode3] produces an ambisonic decoder matrix
(i.e. a bunch of floats) ... how can I turn that (with a source sound)
into speaker feeds?
Would anyone have a sample patch?
frank, you should post these things up on the pd forum too.
or if that's a hassle, do you mind if i relay them on for you?
