Thanks, I've successfully compiled it in Linux (32 bits).
Here's the makefile I've used for it (very rough and simple), maybe its
helpful to anyone.. of course you have to set up both include dirs to the
corrected ones in your system (pd includes and gem src).

I've always wondered whether the "no load no save", especially the "no
save" part, is taken literally.
Taken literally means that you wouldn't even be 'allowed' to create
_on the fly_ an abstraction and then use several instances of that.
Everything you need to reuse would have to be a subpat

It really shouldn't matter if you send "pause" or "stop" before "open".
