Hi!
I'm no speaker modeling expert at all, but I can try to describe what
produces sounds in an overloaded speaker. There are various sources of
distortion, symmetrical (mechanic suspension) and asymmetrical (magnetic
field) and also time variant (temperature) and modulation (doppler

Hi , im sonyfing some data converting it to waveforms that im using
as waveshapers.
I was wondering how could i organize those waveshapers . how can i
analyze a waveform to extract features that can be used for selecting

Time for more patching! Pure Data 0.43 is about to be released, so
some of us will be working on finalizing that. It includes a major
update to the GUI to enable lots of customization. You can now
customize the Pd GUI using simple plugins. Come bring your projects
or try out Pd 0.43.
Thank you for your answer,
but as I wrote I don't want the sound of simple clipping like clip~,
tanh~ or overdrive~. I want the sound of a speaker crying for mercy
because you put just too much through it.
But I don't know where to start. I know there are complex distortion
effects, which are able
hi,
i was proposing this solution, but maybe there are better option. but if
we use wxwebupdate (wxwidgets application c++) we need to compile it for
all pd-extended platform (debian, ubuntu, mac intel / powerpc). if we
don't need to modify this application, the windows version is working

We welcome updates to help patches. Just submit them to the patch
tracker. I think the comport patch could defintitely be improved and
exmaples are always useful. I think you are getting confused by what
ASCII text is on the underlying level. ASCII is a way of
interpretting byte values
just wanted to let people know that i fixed the overshoots caused by
[tabosc4~] by using the object [clip~]. another way of fixing it would
be to do the following.

anyone is interested in co-developing a web updater for pd-extended? i think
it would be a nice feature, no more waiting of pd-extended release for bug
