The meta file is required for a 'libdir' library. Other custom formats like
Gem's or gridflow's perhaps don't require it. I say lobby Tom Erbe to include
the meta file, and structure soundhack like a libdir. I'll happy answer any
questions along those lines.

I imagine this is a wanted behaviour, but would like to confirm.
when using [import] to load a library which does not include the *-meta.pd
file, such lib fails to be loaded.
Ubuntu Lucid, Ubuntu Studio and Mac OSX 10.6, 10.7, with Pd-ext 0.42.5.
This happens for instance with Soundhack for Pure
