I think I had same problem. try sending
mode 0 message to pix_texture. maybe quality 0 as well. I found that
some graphic cards like mode 0 and some others mode 1.

i just tried every possible combination of settings with pix_texture,
and still nothing works.
pix_draw is ok for me, but i want to use pix_texture
