I installed Pd-0.39.2-extended-test7-ubuntu-dapper-i386.tar.bz2
in Ubuntu 6.10
and use the instructions
tar xjf Pd-0.39.2-extended-test7-linux-i686.tar.bz2
cd Pd-0.39.2-extended-test7-linux-i686
make install prefix=/usr/local
It compiled ok.
But when I try to run it is seems that all

pd and your filesystem are case-sensitive, the library is called Gem
and not gem.
try pd -lib Gem
if it still does not work, try pd -verbose -lib Gem and tell us
Sounds like you probably need to install the driver from ATI. A lot
of this latest-greatest 3D requires you to use the closed-sourse
binary drivers from the manufacturer.
