I have libv4l-dev installed, and I have built gridflow with v4l support, so
there is no need to rebuild it.

Sorry, I forgot to specify that I'm on KXStudio, based on Ubuntu Lucid 64bit.
The problem is with both GEM and PDP/pidip.
