Dear Jakob
Again, I cannot comment on rpi
Hi Oliver,
The fact that you used those esi products successfully on rp2 and 3 makes it *i
think* promising that the gigaport ex works, too!
The gigaport hd+ has sufficient outputs for my use case, but what makes me want
to buy the gigaport ex instead, is the fact that the gigaport hd+ only
Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your message! I think that when you are on linux and its working
fine there, it makes it more promising for the pi, too:)

From my experience, the issue is mostly about full-duplex. I managed to
successfully use all sorts of cheap class-compliant audio interfaces
with the RPi3, but I only ever needed audio output. I never had luck
getting full duplex to work in Pd - which I didn't need in the end, so I
didn't

Dear Jakob
As no one with more directly useful experience has piped up, I will say that I
have
been using the Gigaport eX with a Linux box
Hi everyone,
This one should work as well, right? It says that its class compliant.

I'm getting a brand new rockpro64 but it will be some time before it gets
here as it's coming from China. It's a little bit more than the rpi but not
by much (twice the price is still peanuts compared to the rest of the
single board space compared to features) and it actually has four i2s

Hi,
Do i understand it correctly? The logilink interface has four stereo outputs
and i can use those seperately from within pd? This would be exactly what i
need:)

Hi all,
i have used this one:
http://logilink.org/showproduct/UA0099.htm
for installations. It has worked very stable literally running for years.
It has 8 equivalent outputs and 2 inputs. It sells under different brand names
with basically the same look and functionality.
Audio quality with all
Looks like it's a StarTech "ICUSBAUDIO7D". They say $50 list but I got them
much cheaper than that.

Yep. Three were Pi 1s which I think couldn't have powered more than one
interface. I thin kyou could hang two or more off a Pi 4, but there won't
be any way to sync the audio so you'll want to run separate instences of Pd
or else enjoy the occasional audio resync-click.

it does very well!
I've used startech "7.1" interfaces (USB powered) with Pis. The "1" is the
same electronics as teh "7" - it's really just an 8ch output. It has 1/8"
connectors which won't age well but it's only $25 or so. I ended up
buying 5 for an installation.

As Christof said, Behringer devices work well.
Even a XR18 (18in/10out + full per-channel DSP process, such as:
gain/compress/gate/eq/fx-send/DCA...) works like a charm on a rPi!

I have the */ultra/*, 2 in-2 out, and it works well with an up-to-date

Any class compliant audio interface should work.
