hi, if you can `dvgrab` your camera, then your camera has a DV link interface. `dc1394` is not the same and it's intended for industrial IIDC compliant cameras. You *cannot* grab a DV camera with the DC1394 library, see [1]. To use your DV camera with Gem, you need either to compile the `videoDV4
