Yes! I have the source (ascii text + figures) of the TPJ article. (There are a
few words different but it is basically the same).
It would take a little bit of work to make it in to a nice web page article (a
few hours), is anyone interested?

Do you happen to have laying around anywhere a copy of the original perlDL
article? The Perl Journal stopped publication ~10 years ago and Dr. Dobb's
Journal website has been hosting the articles. However the Dr. Dobb's Journal
website ceased updates at the end of 2014. So it might be

Or given that PDL v2 is now moving in to a very stable/bug fix mode how about

I took a look and it seems that adding LD=‘cc’ to the perl Makefile.PL line is
enough to make this go away. This is fine for SciPDL - since it is a perl OS X
config issue I won’t propose a PDL patch.
