Hi there PDL users If anyone is interested - I just got a M1 MacBook Air and I can report that SciPDL works just fine!
The trick is to 'break it out of quarantine’ (ironic for 2020): e.g. karl@Karls-MacBook-Air ~ % sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/PDL This is under Rosetta obviously (2019 intel binaries) - I will look at recompiling it with a new PDL version. Maybe I will even ’sign’ it if I can figure out how. I must say when I started doing SciPDL I hoped it would work across major MacOS updates but I didn’t imaging it working across architectures! Anyone got a good PDL benchmark? Karl p.s. the thing is bloody fast! About 4x faster than the intel one it replaced.
