Going hyperfocal makes sense with wide lenses and apertures past 5.6 to
8 - assuming you have light and/ or ISO to get around that. I still do a
lot of my event shooting in MF, faster than some and without annoying
flash bursts and strong focus lights... even with Canon gear I lost too
