Yikes! Time to bring in the brass monkey. Supposed to get down to around 10 here in Kentucky for the next couple of nights, with winds around 20-30mph and gusts up to 45. That's plenty cold for me. Not sure what that translates to in wind chill, but I'm pretty sure it's nowhere -20 -- wh

Wow and burrr! I can 'see' the dry cold of that snow. I grew up in the state just south of you. Iowa isn't, however, far enough south to enjoy much of a climate difference. Jack --- On Sat, 12/11/10, Charles Robinson wrote: > From: Charles Robinson > Subject: PESO: Snowbound > To: "Pentax

The beauty of these is in the special moments that have been captured. If you're talking about the rendering, It's a matter of emphasizing midrange and shadow through exposure a bit on the minus side and consequent deep skin tones and shadows. Paul On Dec 11, 2010, at 10:53 PM, Walter Gilbert w

Thanks, Paul. I agree that the true beauty is in the moments captured, but I really love the rendering as well. Maybe -1/2 step on exposure compensation to start with? -- Walt On 12/11/2010 10:22 PM, paul stenquist wrote: The beauty of these is in the special moments that have been capt

My folks had a german shepherd and so did one of my mom's co-workers. The co-worker's shepherd liked water. She found it one day sitting in the dishwater in the kitchen sink. This was bad enough, but it was followed up by her drawing a bath later in the week. She found the dog sitting in her bub
